I’m not an expert but that’s how it seems to me. A “special military operation” that’s the invasion of Ukraine, which Vladimir Putin says is necessary for the safety of Russia. A genocide in Gaza that’s in “self defence.” Benjamin Netanyahu says he’ll destroy Hamas. The price in loss of life and massive destruction seems to be irrelevant, and not challenged adequately by other nations. Confrontations in the middle east between Israel and Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, and trouble in Iraq and Syria. Wars in Africa inSudan and Ethiopia. Civil war in Myanmar. Unrest between Pakistan and India. Taiwan, which the Chines claim is theirs but the Taiwanese disagree. Friction between North and South Korea. Big powers like China, the USA and Russia seeking to exert power and influence. Nuclear weapons possessed by some of these countries.

It’s all worrying and frightening. What can we do? If you’re an expert I’d like to know. Meanwhile I hope and pray for peace.
